Arise is hosting a number of Adoption Support workshops and events this year including the much anticipated annual Adoption Conference in Cape Town on Saturday 7 September 2019 and Gauteng on Friday 4 October. Our next Adoption Support Workshop is ‘Listening to Adoptees’ and will be hosted on Monday 27 May at Common Ground Church, Rondebosch.
We are also hosting the Cape Town Empowered to Connect Conference on Saturday 4 May and Saturday 5 June 2019 which is a global conference designed by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development for adoptive and foster families to improve connection and attachment. Tickets are highly subsidised at R250 pp and are available on Quicket. Buy tickets.
Our Train-the-Trainer Workshops will equip you to run two of our programs in your own context – ‘Fierce’, a self-esteem program for teen girls and ‘Finding Feelings’, an emotional literacy group for Grade 1s & 2s. The workshops will be facilitated by Clinical Psychologist, Robyn Jacobs and Danielle Moosajie, Social Worker with a Masters in Social Policy & Management, who wrote our award winning family strengthening programs.
