Arise hosts a number of Adoption Support workshops and events each year including the much anticipated annual Adoption Conference taking place in Cape Town on Saturday 7 September 2019 and Gauteng on Saturday 5 October. We also host networking events and present talks on the topic of Family Strengthening.

Arise is heading to Port Elizabeth! Please join us for a coffee and a talk on ‘Strengthening Family: Exploring Resilience, Attachment & Preservation Strategies’. The talk will be presented by Danielle Moosajie and Robyn Jacobs, the dynamic duo behind all of our Train-the-Trainer events as well as Alexa Russell-Matthews who heads up Adoption Advocacy at Arise.

We’d love to meet our friends in Port Elizabeth, share with you more about what we’re up to and invite you to partner with us in our goal to see more thriving families in South Africa. There is no charge for this event but booking is essential. Seats are limited. Book your spot here.

Our last Adoption Support workshop for the year, ‘Adoption and Trauma’ will take place on Monday 12 August at Common Ground Church Rondebosch. It’s been said by a number of adult adoptees that adoption is layered and complicated – it’s something which holds joy and a range of other emotions & dynamics. What does this mean for us as parents? Not everything is adoption related but not everything isn’t. Tickets available for R50 here.
